What to expect from Config 2025

Figma Config 2025 is set to return May 6–8 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, and it’s shaping up to be more than just a conference. It’s a global gathering of the design and tech community — three days of learning, inspiration, and connection at the forefront of how we build digital products.

We’re going to attend the event ourselves and cover what we can here in this blog. But let’s take a peek into what’s coming.

This year’s Config dives deep into the intersections of:

• Design Craft — Hands-on sessions for elevating your Figma workflows and creative output.
• Dev & Code — Where design meets engineering, from handoff to real-time collaboration.
• Product Management — Strategy-focused talks for building better, smarter digital experiences.
• Figma Deep Dives — The latest tips, tricks, and tooling from the Figma team and power users.

With over 50 sessions and 75+ speakers, attendees can curate their own learning experience — whether they’re there to sharpen their skills or zoom out for a more strategic view.

While Figma is keeping its cards close to the chest, Config has always been the launchpad for major feature reveals. Attendees can expect sneak peeks at upcoming product updates — new AI features, prototyping, and much more. If past years are any indication, the product reveals alone will be worth the price of admission.

The Config stage is always where industry heavyweights and rising stars share the mic. Some of this year’s headliners include:

• Dylan Field — CEO of Figma, bringing his vision for what’s next
• Andrew “Boz” Bosworth — CTO of Meta, with insights from the bleeding edge of tech
• Karri Saarinen — Founder of Linear, a product and design leader redefining modern workflows
• Michelle Lee — IDEO partner with a perspective on human-centered design
• Diana Mounter — Design Systems Lead at GitHub, focusing on building consistent user experiences
• Chris Lattner — CEO of Modular and the brain behind Swift and ML tooling

Expect insights not just into tools — but into how we work, think, and collaborate as creators.

Beyond the mainstage, Config 2025 will host hands-on workshops, interactive breakout sessions, and immersive learning tracks. Attendees can drop into the Maker Space to explore, tinker, and test, or head over to Config Commons to meet fellow creatives, collaborate, and pick up some swag.

Config is more than just a conference. It’s where Figma’s vision comes to life — not only in what they build, but in how they bring the community together. It’s a moment each year where designers, developers, and product leaders align around a shared goal: building better, more thoughtful digital experiences.
